Culture: Culture refers to the attitudes, customs and beliefs that distinguishes one group of people from another. Culture is transmitted through language, material objects, ritual, institutions and art, from one generation to the next. (MacKay, 2005)
Culture also refers to the patterns of shared mindsets and behaviours that members of a group/community acquire overtime. Risk exists when the current culture is different from that required to support the changes being made, or when the current culture does not support the effective execution of ongoing change. (MacKay, 2018)
